Bingham Cousins Come to Visit!

Chris's brother Tom and his wife Tonia and their two boys Andrew (age 5) and Grant (age 2) have come to visit for a week. They live in Texas and arrived Saturday and will be with us until this coming Saturday. We've really enjoyed having them stay.

Sam and Andrew in particular have hit it off. They are the same age and are best mates. I think they could play all day everyday and never get tired of each other or fight. Sam is really going to be sad when Andrew leaves on Saturday. He was already getting sad about it tonight when he was going to bed.

Aunt Tonia reading to everyone. Trying to heard six kids under 6 to bed can be a challenge, but every night is getting a little bit easier!

Yum, Yum - a trip to Chick-fil-a was a big hit!

Andrew loves to climb and show how well he can balance.

A bit behind on my blogging

I was just checking my photos and there are a few from the past few weeks that I wanted to add to show what we've been up to.

Ella attended her friend Madison's birthday party last Friday. The birthday party was at Monkey Joe's - which is a room full of inflatable jumping slides and obstacle courses. The kids just LOVE going there and so it was an extra treat to be able to go to a birthday party there. We're going to miss Madison and her family. They moved to Florida the next day.

Mr Elliott was sick a few weeks ago. Since he recovered though, he has been eating SOOO much and putting on the pounds. Can you see the lovely double chin he's getting!

Owen is always entertaining at the moment. Here he is eating pesto by the spoonful! Lately he wants to do everything just like Sam. Sam doesn't like pesto and so he's been avoiding it. On this occasion though he couldn't resit and suddenly remembered how much he loved it!

We added more dirt to our square foot garden a couple of weeks ago. The kids love helping out in the garden.

We had a few friends over for lunch a few weeks ago. When I counted, 6 out of the 10 were in my care that day!

Helpful Sam

We were driving in the car a few days ago and Sam said to me "Mum, I was thinking in my mind that I should wash the dishes for you. Would that be a kind thing to do?" My response "Sounds like an awesome idea! Why don't you give it a go tonight." So here he is doing the dishes for me. Now, how do I get him to volunteer every night?

Bad Guys Don't Wear Diapers and They Don't Wear Underwear Either!

OK, so you know it's potty training time when your 2 year old tells you that "Bad guys don't wear underwear and they don't wear diapers either". But, they can wear batman capes, carry pink purses and wear fluffy slippers! The good news is, that all this nakedness is also helping Owen potty train himself. He has not had a single accident while in his "Bad Guy" gear. (Thanks Henry for introducing Owen to bad guys!!!)

Owen has also moved Sam to idol status. If we tell Owen that we love him he responds with "I love Sam." If I need him to go to the potty I have Sam ask him! Sam is not quite sure what to make of all this attention from Owen. Sam was very kind this morning though and had "Special time with Owen" where they played Lego men together.

Here is a picture of "Owen the bad Guy Bingham".
